It can detect wavelengths from 400 to 1700 nm and capture visible + SWIR images. [Materials showing the inspection process are currently available!]
A new CoaXPress camera has arrived that can inspect previously invisible workpieces thanks to its detection wavelength range of 400nm to 1700nm! It can capture both visible and SWIR images with a single camera.
**Benefits of Inspection in the SWIR Band**
- Subjects that appear the same color under visible light can show different colors in the SWIR band due to differences in moisture permeability, allowing for differentiation of materials and contents.
- Depending on the type of liquid, it can either absorb or transmit light, enabling the detection of the presence and quantity of contents, as well as the presence of foreign substances.
- It can see through labels on PET bottles and plastic snack bags to confirm contents.
- Leaf veins and bruises on fruits become more pronounced, making it effective for freshness checks and quality inspections.
- When photographing people, sunglasses can also be penetrated, allowing for recognition of facial features.
- It can capture clear images even in foggy or misty conditions.
Leveraging these features, it is expected to be utilized in various applications such as wafer inspection, electronic circuit board inspection, food inspection, agricultural product inspection, pharmaceutical and tablet inspection, identification classification, process quality control, and security.
Since the camera can detect from visible light to the SWIR band on its own, it enhances the visibility of workpieces and contributes to improved inspection efficiency.
